The Family and Life Update (FALU) website received a special citation from the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA)  last November 15, 2013 at the recently-concluded 35th CMMA Night held at the Teatro GSIS, GSIS Building Financial Center.  The citation was being given “for the comprehensive presentation of articles that inspire and inform Filipino Catholics”.

The annual CMMA was established in 1978 by the late Jaime L. Cardinal Sin, then-archbishop of Manila, as the archdiocese’s tribute to “those who serve God through the mass media.”  Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, archbishop of Manila, is CMMA’s honorary chairman.

Out of more than 737 entries for this year’s CMMA, there were 216 finalists on 57 categories.  FALU, representing the community of Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFC FFL), was chosen as a finalist for the Best Website category.

To work for the cause of family and life is a privilege.
To receive recognition for this work is a bonus.
To know one’s unworthiness to enjoy both is grace.
For all these three, Family and Life Update is grateful beyond measure to God Almighty.

“When you do all the things which are commanded you,
say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” – Luke 17:10
