Archbishop Palma lauds minority solons’ withdrawing support for RH bill

Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) president Archbishop Jose S. Palma, D.D. today lauded the minority bloc’s withdrawal of support for the Reproductive Health (RH) bill.

In an interview, Palma expressed his appreciation for the solons’ move, saying, “Natutuwa ako sa ginawa nila. This is a sign that they see something in the RH bill which may not be for the good of the people in general.”

The Cebu Archbishop also called on all his brother bishops nationwide to organize rallies in their respective dioceses, in synchronization with the big prayer rally slated on August 4 at the historic EDSA Shrine.
