This is the battle cry of many Filipinos as seen in the huge rallies held all over the country. The mostly Catholic population has been successfully fighting the bill in its legislature for over a decade. And it seems that they have no intention of giving in now.
However, it seems that the obviously louder population controllers continue to express confidence that it is only a matter of time before it is passed especially since strong influencers from the West have no intention of taking ‘no’ for an answer this time around.
Different versions of the bill have been filed in Congress since 1998. It reappears because it is fueled by money from international population control organizations, who have expressed concern that there are too many poor Filipinos.
These agencies such as the USAID, the UNFPA and the European Union, promise funding as an enticement for the Philippines to embrace the desired “health reforms” and will not stop until they have reduced Filipino fertility to levels that they are comfortable with.
Following his recent promises to push for the bill even at risk of being excommunicated from the Catholic Church, President Benigno Aquino has, in fact, publicly placed himself firmly with the Western elites who think there are too many Filipinos, and against the Church by ignoring its bishops.
The Philippines is now the world’s only country that hasn’t legalized abortion and divorce.
