PHILIPPINES: 70% of Filipino Domestic Workers Suffer Violence in Saudi Arabia

A study published by the Committee on Overseas Workers Welfare indicate that 70% of workers employed in Saudi Arabia as caregivers, domestic workers or without specific work qualifications face the risk being underpaid, exploited and often abused by their employers.  Unskilled workers who arrive in Saudi Arabia have no guarantee of employment, wages or protection.
